Is the clutch release bearing the same for either a 3 speed or a 4 speed?

My pickup has a Muncie SM420 that I am looking for the proper clutch release bearing.

You don't state year, make or model of your pickup, but just in case, the 1939-53 GMC Master Parts Book calls for the same clutch release bearing for all 1/2 ton thru 2 ton trucks no matter which transmission. Part number is 909422. Same part number is listed in the 1929-54 Chevrolet Master Parts Catalog for "all" 1938-54.

National 614037. RockAuto has it for $41.79

Also SKF N1086SA and Timken 614037.

Beware... the bearing they stick in a "clutch kit" is usually an offshore piece of junk. Get one of the above suggested bearings. I hate having to pull a transmission because the throwout bearing has failed.
