For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 687 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 687 | This is prbably old as dirt but I just found it. I have a freind that works for a motor home company. They build motor homes. Well a lot of wiring go's into these motor homes so they use numbered wiring. They have a machine that intalls numbers onto the wiring. Thats cool enough but not what I found. The thing is that some times a wire will have to be replaced. When that happens they have little rolls of numbered tape inside a container and they go from "0" to "9" you just open the container for the desired number and peel off an inch or so of tape to stick to your wire. This stuff is great for numbering your wiring when doing a restore that may be apart for months or years. You can find it at an electrical supply store. The rolls of tape are not very long but you can buy refills for the numbers you need. Way cool stuff.
I didn't do it, no one saw me do it, you can't prove anything! "Bart Simpson" | | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 4,260 "Hey! I sound like Darth Vader!! | | "Hey! I sound like Darth Vader!! We use a lot of those for boom disassembly. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 3,445 Moderator - The Electrical Bay | | Moderator - The Electrical Bay Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 3,445 | If you have a photographic memory like Rusty Rod, then you dont need anything...

Rewired a '53 I had from scratch and used them heavily.

I bought Panduit when I was buying for a communications shop. Like I said, there's a lot out there. | | |
