Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2019 Posts: 449 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2019 Posts: 449 | As I understand it, the 292 uses a bypass hose for the coolant to flow straight from the thermostat housing back to the water pump, whereas in the 230/250 this exchange occurs via an internal passage? I assume this allows a higher volume of coolant flow for the 292?

| | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,098 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,098 | If I remember correctly, the 292 block is taller but the water pump would be in the same location as the 230/250 to be centered with the radiator/core support. The bypass could be installed to make up the difference. My 66 C20 w/292 also had a much larger radiator than a C10 with a 250. Fred
