Last week, someone phoned out of the blue and wanted to purchase my panel. So I sold it. I told him a bunch of spare parts were included, then I loaded it all up and the truck is almost half full. The purchaser is a businessman who wants to paint it to suit and use it to advertise. Just got my Fulton visor on a few weeks ago, not realizing it would all be gone so soon. He can mess with the hood alignment now, haha.

That's the million dollar question. My life has been turned upside down when my wife died. Not sure what lies ahead, but likely a move that doesn't have room for all my stuff.
Surprised to hear you sold your panel, Leo. That was really a nice truck! Of course, your Beaumont, well, you know.......it's special! I'm in the liquidation mode too. Someone came to buy some tractor implements yesterday and started to eyeball Thor (58 1.5 ton). He asked if I would sell it and I almost gave him a price....but didn't .

It is a difficult decision. I sold my MGA last year in May after 49 years of ownership. I only drove it 120 miles a year and it was getting more difficult to get in out of. I have seen the Beaumont and it is lovely.

NO LEO! Not the panel!! That truck was to you as Cosmos is to him......So now your diving that......that ..............car? Ugh! Seriously, I’m sure it wasn’t an easy decision. I can’t imagine what you have been throu in the past year! Your always welcome round these parts, if your ever on a walkabout! Oh, my bad, wrong continent!! I know of a couple trucks in the area that have those 261thingy’s under the hood that you could take for a beating......... I mean cruise! Your always welcome for a stay. Wow Leo, guess you'll have to enjoy the Beaumont that much more. Let me know if you're down in this neck of the province and we'll go for a drive to satisfy the AD craving.
Sorry to hear that Leo, the little time we spent traveling together was an absolute pleasure . I guess a man has to do what a man has to do . That being said i,m planing on attending the reunion next spring and if your willing and able you can ride south with me, if we get along i,ll even bring you back. Who ever bought your truck is a lucky guy, that was one sweet ride.
Resurrecting an old topic... Fred, "truckernix" let me know last year that he saw my 1953 panel at a cruise event that he organizes. (He rode with me to Kansas City a number of years ago and knew the truck well) I considered trying to get it back, long story short, yesterday I was successful! A big thank you to truckernix for finding it for me and providing contact info. Hopefully see it in my driveway later this month.
Oh my Leo! That was almost five years ago that you sold it! This is great to hear. Now you need to have a story in the DITY so we can hear more about it AND with a lot of pictures. Congrats.
