I've never tried this before. My paint is base coat / clear coat PPG Shop Line. I've never used base coat paint before either. What do I need to know about taping, timing, etc.?

Looks like you need to work fairly quickly. 45 minutes before you can tape, and then you need to clear after 20 minutes and BEFORE 24 hours. So first color, wait 45 minutes, tape and shoot second color, then clear the whole thing.

I have never been sure whether the "Tape 45 minutes" meant that you could apply tape after 45 minutes, or whether you could remove tape after 45 minutes.

Use the green painters tape instead of blue tape. It is less sticky.

Apparently there are a bunch of different Shop Line products. I just picked one that I thought was what you had. But check to be sure.
