How do you tell which rear bracket goes on which side? (This is in reference to a '50 Chevy short box). I think I know but want to know for sure. I have replacements that I know came from a '50 Chevy short box. I haven't purchased running boards at this time...that would probably tell.

Here's a photo that shows the middle and rear running board brackets. The middle brackets have a small hole just below the lowest frame holes. The rear brackets have a larger oval hole between the frame holes. You'll need to zoom the photo up a bit to see them well. The rear brackets also angle toward the front of the truck a bit, which tells you which is right or left. In the Factory Assembly Manual Section 2, Sheet 2.00 shows a top view of the frame with brackets.

Nice pic Kevin. That should help a bunch, especially showing the large hole on top of the rear bracket. But more importantly, if positioned against the frame rail and pointing slightly towards the front, it must be on the correct side.
