| | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 70 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2005 Posts: 70 | I got a $20 Harbor Freight drill sharpener as a gift and never used it because I thought it was a toy. Last weekend I was cleaning the garage and figured I should try it before throwing it out.
I got a real surprize because the darn thing works and I ended up sharpening all the dull/broken drills in my drill index!
I guess I have to take back my 'it's a toy' thoughts. It's not as good as a Drill Doctor, but 'gets 'er done' if you take your time.

The Drill Doctor has an offset cam arrangement that duplicates the taper of the two faces so that only the cutting edges are contacting the material directly.
