I must be having a brain cramp.
I was a main frame programmer and usually feel pretty comfortable with normal stuff on PCs. But, when I go to https://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/shop/1954truck/index.html and would like to copy something, the only way I have been able to do it is with doing (basically) a screen shot using the "Snipping Tool" and copying a page at a time.
It seems that others download sections as PDFs but I don't seem to have that capability using Google Chrome as my browser. (I also just tried DuckDuckGo as a browser with the same result.)
Perhaps I am misunderstanding what the others are doing. Are they just taking screen shots of one page at a time, or is there a way to download several pages or a section of the document as a PDF?

Thanks!

Nick - I think I may have misunderstood what you were going after with the previous questions on this subject.

That link to the entire book doesn't allow you to download the entire book in one PDF. My apologies if I misled you in that respect. frown When I use the resource, I do only usually take screen shots of the specific section or page(s) I'm wanting to capture/share. Sometimes all I share is the link to the overall section (which lets folks do further searches in the section) or just to a specific page in a section. The way the site and these books are setup as web pages, they can't be downloaded through the given link as an entire document

The site does offer an option to purchase a full book PDF download for about the price of a paper copy reprint HERE. I haven't done so as I was lucky enough to acquire an original book that is in my Stovebolt Library.

Perhaps that is the way you would prefer to pursue acquiring the book. I believe there may be a few other sites that offer a similar complete book PDF for download, but have no experience with any of those to know if they are safe and what the quality of the downloaded document may be. I think you will find that the Old Car Shop Manuals site will provide a reasonably good quality download and from my perspective, I've found them to be a safe and very supportive source of information for our community.

I've personally had email conversations with Rusty Petrovic, the current site representative, and found him to be dedicated to maintaining this supportive site started by Keith Hardy so many years ago.

Once again, sorry if I sent you on a bit of a wild goose chase. Hope this helps get things back on track for you.

Dan

No problem, Dan!

I really do appreciate the Old Car Manual Project site and the effort that must go into setting up and maintaining the site. As a matter of fact, this conversation got me off the dime to donate to support their site.

It is difficult to quantify how much Stovebolt.com has assisted me in my efforts to move forward in trying to turn a group of parts into a vehicle. I am heading to the Donate section of Stovebolt.com now to assist.

Thanks again, Dan!
