Finally located the utility tray that I believe was an option on most of the 55-59 trucks. Ordered it and it installed pretty easily. The only thing that made it a little difficult was having to do it alone. That and having to drill three hole through the back of the cab. They did recommend putting a sealer on the heads of the bolts. Any thoughts?

Nice addition, that would be very useful in a daily driver. As far as sealer, you could back the nut off, put just a dab of sealer under the head of the bolt and re-tighten, it should squish into the hole well enough to stop any water. Or pull one bolt at a time and use a rubber washer under the head.
