You can also take your old ones to a local hydraulic shop and have copies made. I think the fitting has a restrictor in it reducing it to 1/8" or something like that.

If the ID of the hose is determined by the size of the fittings on each end, then stay with that diameter, just try to duplicate the restrictor.

That's not enough to be concerned with, and it wouldn't matter if your filter hoses were an inch in diameter. That would just add a bit of volume to the oil capacity.
