I am using the mount from the 235 I took out.Looking at and reading the posts here, I don’t think my bolts were correct. All were carriage bolts (all 3/8”) , the center 2 were 2 3/4” long with short stiff springs. Were springs ever used? What are the size and lengths of the carriage bolts that should be used?

It’s always better to start a new thread rather than piggybacking on to an existing thread. Readers may confuse your issue with the original posters issue.

Nor where there springs used in the later AD series engine mounts. This recent thread from John In Utah discusses the conversion of the later 1960-62 235/261 engine front mount plate. I believe it address the hardware needs too. This Front Engine Mount Legacy Tech Tip has some great info to help answer your questions too. Got enough, or more questions???

Any idea why they would negate the rubber vibration dampener?? or what it fits?? To me it is a conversion piece no intention of using it......
