I took off my Master cylinder on the COE. It's a Wagner Lockheed FD9974. It was stuck some but I got it freed up and it doesn't appear to be too bad but I'd like to put a repair kit in it and I need a new cap also if I can fix it. Does anyone know of a source for parts? I looked online and there's some new ones but spendy or does anyone have a good one for sale? Thanks
The Filling Station is just one of several of our usual vendors that offers a new replacement master cylinder for your application. Original Chevy part number is GM# 5450929 (1-1/4" bore master cylinder for 3/4 thru 2 ton trucks 1947-55.1). At just a shade under $140, a small price to pay for an essential item to stop your truck.
