I took off my Master cylinder on the COE. It's a Wagner Lockheed FD9974. It was stuck some but I got it freed up and it doesn't appear to be too bad but I'd like to put a repair kit in it and I need a new cap also if I can fix it. Does anyone know of a source for parts? I looked online and there's some new ones but spendy or does anyone have a good one for sale? Thanks

Have you called Jim Carter? It might not be in his catalog/website, but he might have it on the shelf.

Can NAPA get it for you? You'd need to go into the store and get the old guy to look it up.

White Post Restoration can sleeve it and rebuild it with a lifetime warranty.

Place an ad in the Parts Wanted Section...asking to buy or sell here in the technical section will get you in the dog house... eeeek

The Filling Station is just one of several of our usual vendors that offers a new replacement master cylinder for your application. Original Chevy part number is GM# 5450929 (1-1/4" bore master cylinder for 3/4 thru 2 ton trucks 1947-55.1). At just a shade under $140, a small price to pay for an essential item to stop your truck. wink
