Here we go:

Jeff "Rusty Rod" Backus gave the first donation soon after the stoke of midnight January 1. He also made the last donation (one of four that year) a few strokes before. Clever Bolter. grin

We want to thank the many folks who help make this site possible, from the volunteers, moderators and the participants helping in the forums. We do have a lot of readers and a steady flow of new folks.

But this is about the very special folks who get an extra big thanks from all of us. These folks have dipped into their pockets and, after sorting out a few nuts, bolts and string, have tossed some cash our way to help us pay for the necessary things we need to keep this site going (the hosting fee is the biggie).

I'll be adding 2024 donations to the "Thanks Ledger" as soon as I get a chance. If you are interested you can see those who we are talking about! thumbs_up

Thanks all.

Second week, second donation for 2025!

A bit of a two-fer deal.

Dan "Gdads51" Gerhards
"A donation to kick off 2025 and make sure that Stovebolt can continue to be the outstanding community it has been for a long time to come!"
"A portion of this donation can be attributed to a deal with
Phil "Phak1" Hakala for his "Freebie" master cylinder as he and I made a deal last week to make it mine. " grin

Both Dan and Phil are moderators in some of the more active areas of the Forum. Dan covers General Truck Talk, all those areas in the Swap Meet, co-mod for Midwest Bolters Association, and he is a Global Moderator to help all around Stovebolt. Phil is the moderator for the Engine Shop, Interiors and the Project Journals.

Appreciate this donation and we always enjoy how folks think a little out of the box. If you aren't already familiar, HERE IS the FREEBIE corner of the Swap Meet.

A few donations for February. smile

Ed "Wally / Montana" Waali - It's always been fun to see Wally's snow pictures. He's got a fun website dedicated to his 1948 3/4-Ton five-window flatbed Chevrolet. We appreciate his regular donation made to keep Stovebolt working.

Steve "frogfarmer" Rivas - Steve's donation is another two-fer with a story.
"Yesterday I took "Justtime602" up on his offer of a 216 with trans for free. I told him I'd pay to hold it for me until March when I'd be in AZ. He didn't want to charge me so I offered to pay Stovebolt."
"I really appreciate the Stovebolt site. I derive a lot of benefit from this place."

Win-win-win. Thanks!

The Stovebolt Collective thanks you!

Sweet! A few more donations for February.

A big thanks to:

Jeff "Rusty Rod" Backus - This is Jeff's THIRD donation just this year! We are certainly appreciative and humbled by his commitment to Stovebolt!
    "Me slacking off."
Hardly! He's been more than a "team player" that's for sure. wink

John "UtahYork" Yorkey - John's only been active on Stovebolt a short time (October 2024) and this is his third donation since then! We've been following his 1946 Chevy 1/2-ton story in his DITY thread. What great details! Over 2600 views ... and counting. A Bolter of Bolters. thumbs_up
"Thanks for having a place that shares so much knowledge."

We certainly appreciate these contributions that help us cover the hosting fee. salute2

Next up for Febuary! What a great "come back" if you will. wink

Bob "RAC1812" Carriere
- made his donation "with nod to Bill Hanlon as a token of my appreciation. What comes around goes around and give due credit to Bill Hanlon for all his help."

HERE ARE THE DETAILS on Bob's donation.

For, for the cause of Old Iron, the Stovebolt Collective thanks both Bob and Bill.

March kinda blew away somewhere. But April JOY ... two repeaters ... so far!

John "UtahYork" Yorkey - SECOND donation! It seems like we just thanked John -- ah, we did! grin We've been getting a lot out of his 1946 1/2-ton build story in the DITY.
"The Stovebolt group has been like family to me. I’ve learned so much about my truck since last September and lots more to find out about. ~~ JY"

Dan "Gdads51" Gerhards - SECOND donation! We imagine by now almost EVERYONE knows Bolter Dan. He researches lots of issues for folks, especially in General Truck Talk and the Swap Meet. As a Global Moderator, he's helping all over the place. wink Now here he is making a great donation to help pay the bills.

You guys are the best.

As Achipmunk has said, "Help keep the lights on."
The Stovebolt Collective thanks you!

Maybe our last for April. Or ... maybe not. smile

Ron "WE b OLD" Steltz
Ron and Rusty Rod wrapped up 2024 Donations for us and he said he meant to send this in earlier. It's all good. The bills keep coming in month after month, and we are grateful for his help in covering them.

We all are grateful.

Well, April ended up well! (Helped make up for March. wink )

John "UtahYork" Yorkey -- John's THIRD donation this year (two in April!). He had big news to share with the Bolters:
"When I started my project, I said to myself that I'll donate when I get this engine started. Well, it started this past weekend and I am thrilled. I could not have gotten this far without the help of all the Stovebolters.
    Thanks to everyone!"

If you aren't already following John's DITY build story, it is very motivating. His recent success, is quite a a big milestone. and we all enjoyed it -- go see some "naked" Stovebolts. grin

We are so glad to be of help as the Stovebolt Collective. Thanks for being such a giving community. thumbs_up

First donation for May!

Nick "Nick in Manitou" Gurin - Nick's been with us a little over a year with his 1940 KC Model 1/2 Ton. A regular participant.
I have gotten so much from this forum! Good information from good people! I want to thank you and the others who dedicate so much time to the forum and who make it work!
Working on old vehicles is fun for some of us - but the camaraderie as well as the information found here makes it so much more rewarding!

Thank you Nick!

Well, our first donation for June:

Todd "Shaffer's1950" Shaffer -- Todd's been with us since 2017 and is a regular contributor to shop discussions. So glad to have him around. He's got a 1950 Chevy 3100!

And this donation was part of a deal with John "UtahYork" Yorkey. "I gave some front wheel bearings to Todd and he made a donation to Stovebolt."

Thanks to both of you on behalf of the entire Stovebolt Collective.

Well, our first donation for July.

Nathan "JW51" Bengtson
"Recently, John "UtahYork" Yorkey sent me some free parts. In lieu of reimbursing him for shipping costs, he asked that I make a donation to the site."

And he did! thumbs_up

From John Yorkey:
"I gave an extra set of transmission mounts to Nathan. As I run across extra parts that I know I won’t use and I see an ad in the “Parts Wanted,” I’ve been happy to let others have them if they can make a small donation. Just trying to give back."

John is an outstanding "giver" and we all appreciate this!

Thanks for being what Stovebolt is about. "Bolters helping Bolters."

Oh yay! A few more donations. dance
Thanks bunches!

Phil "Phak!" Hakala - Many of you know Phil as the Moderator of the very busy Engine Shop (along with Woogeroo). He also covers all the Project Journals. Did you know he also has 14 pages (with 160,373 views) for his 1952 Chevrolet 3100. We keep him busy throughout Stovebolt. Besides the donation, he is a great contributor to the cause of Stovebolt.

Jeff "Rusty Rod" Backus - This is Jeff's FOURTH donation that he sent in for the 4th -- he included a mote: "Happy Independence Day." Jeff was the first donor for 2025. (Happy New Year!) Rusty has been around with us a long time. He's been super helpful to move around in the forums to places we need. He currently helps moderate in the Welcome Centre, the Electrical Bay, Name that Part, Panels and Burbs, the Whole Wild West Coast, and just recently added the International Zone since he moved to Japan.

We have a great group here! Thanks for all they do and an extra thanks for helping pay the bills around here.

A late start for August.

John "UtahYork" Yorkey -- John's FOURTH donation this year (two in April and an "assist" in July). John's been going great guns in his DITY build story! thumbs_up

Thanks for thinking of our Nuts and Bolts while you are working on yours.
