Been very busy last couple of years. Dad and Mom both failing health. Unfortunately both have passed. I just recently (12/19/2024) retired. I hope to put more miles on the 64. Have been chasing/concerned with a knocking sound from the driveline, i now believe it to be the torque converter. (turbo 350). Not hard or expensive to change. Not planning it to be everyday driver, but sure hope to put more miles on it.

I will work on the photos, not much of a computer guy. SWB, 2wd, currently 350 crate/turbo 350, 3:73 gears. Owned since 1984. Painted 3 times (since i have owned it).
Added power steering, auto trans, disc brakes on front and 5 lug wheels. Custom tailgate, c60 grille, rally wheels (8in), custon front seat made out of Youkon 3rd row seat. Ran a 300hp 327 for years. Have been rear ended, rolled, ran thru a fence, miutiple transmissions, 2 or 3 rear differentials, 2 front suspensions etc

If you need some help with posting pictures, click this LINK for a short video created by fellow Bolter "klhansen" that is probably the simplest way to explain things. If you get stuck just ask and folks will be glad to offer more help.

Check the bolts that secure the torque converter to the flexplate before you start taking stuff apart.
Fairly common problem that can cause a lot of aggravation.

Also check the flexplate over real good. Have seen them have the center cracked where it's not easy to see.
