It was not listed in the GMC Master Parts Books that I have. My books cover all the years that the 28/228 carbs were used except I am missing the ’54 and first series ’55 models. I’ve asked the guys over on OldGMCTrucks

It’s been a great carb. Don’t know if this helps but I’d suggest looking up carbking, his profile has a portal ( thecarburetorshop.com) his site with tons of info of the type you’re looking for.

I used the 2194114 part number to look up the carb in my GMC Master Parts Book and there it was, the first carb in the list. I don’t know how I missed it originally. Probably a short between my keyboard and my chair.

Anyone know what the original application was? I've checked the 1939-53 and 1955.2-1960 GMC Master Parts Books with no luck. I don't have '54-55.1 books.
My 228 came to me with a Carter YF. I bought the Zenith to try to keep my truck "original", but the Carter ran better so I put it back on. This particular Zenith also has the adjustable high speed jet.
