216. where do the large diameter fat washers go on the front engine mount. I just removed the front mount off an engine which someone gave me and they were located between the engine mount and the crossmember on the outermost bolts. I don't know if that is correct or not.

They do go between the engine mount and crossmember. I believe they're called SAE washers.

I have used them to shim the engine front for u-joint alignment on open driveline. I have read you're not supposed to do that. I have also used front suspension shims, those horseshoe shaped ones.
