Apparently, there is a car show in KURE, Japan on October 14, 2024.

Rusty Rod will be there to see what's up around here.

Pix in the comments below.

There were not many US made cars there, and only two trucks. I was impressed with some of the Skylines that had 6 bangers with three 2bbl carbs on them.

There were a lot of motorcycles too.

As the Far East Bureau Chief for SNN (Stovebolt News Network), we'll expect full coverage -- indepth reporting with photos and video.

It will be interesting to see. Probably some American muscle cars? I was surprised to see as many American pony cars as we did in Okinawa back in the '90's. I'd guess very little Japanese production older than 1960 ... ?

Well then, i would not have posted this if I figured it would turn into work....

When I was a Fuji, 20 years ago, they had a car show on base... they brought in several classic American cars.... news at 10.

It was better than no show. Lots of people, very little parking... I got lucky on my 2nd trip around the parking lot as a car pulled out right next to me.

No Stovebolts. frown But lots of variety.

Did the number of photos allowed get bumped up? 19 on the post above.

Kevin, the number of images still is only 10. Possibly another glitch. headscratch Lucky for Jeff! grin

I don't know about you Jeff, but I remember riding around in Japan (from the airport). Not only was it some crazy driving but it was a whole lot of vehicles in a little space. At least those were mostly small, smaller and super small.

I expierenced the same back in 1968 R and R visiting my brother and his wife at Yokota AFB. A local drove into the city. Not fun.
