For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! I was having problems trying to locate tapered roller bearings for the front of my "58 4400 "Thor". I had worn out my welcome at all the FLAPS in town, NAPA was trying hard but just couldn't find a match. Taking the measurements from the actual cones and races I buried myself in the internet, everything just brings another rabbit hole. I did finally come across a site that allows you to enter bearing measurements and search in that forum. This site gives you options for bearing type as well as dimensions. The end is a real Part Number that crosses to a Timken, National or SKF number. Using this I was able to locate bearings and get them ordered through Amazon at a greatly reduced price. Please take a moment and check out this link. https://bearingfinder.ntnamericas.com/

Seems to be a site applicable to all of Stoveboltdom, ja? Let's move it to Driveline if only wheel bearings. We could move it to General Truck if all types of bearings (wheel, tranny, engine, etc, etc., etc...). If we get enough positive feedback, we could consider possible follow-on options. Like making it a sticky ... making it a Tech Tip of sorts ... or something else. I *do* have an open mind about these sorts of things, you know ... So ... where to move it??

Automotive and industrial would the most used by Bolters.
