I changed my 59 Apache over to 5 lug 4 3/4 inch bolt pattern wheels from the stock 6 lug wheels so I would have infinite 15 inch wheel choices. But the more I look at the original stock “dog dish” hub caps, the more I like them. Since the stock Apache hubcaps use the spring clip type fasteners, this severely limits finding15 inch 5 lug wheels which uses the this type of hubcap mounting. After some research, I believe the 1949 - 53 Chevy Belair car wheels which are 15" x 5” x 4 3/4 bolt pattern might work. Has anyone here ever tried to install an Apache hubcap on a 49-53 Chevy car wheel or vice versa?
