My question is can I use that bellhousing? I believe I have the flywheel and starter from car. Would l be able to get my stomp starter to work on that bellhousing? What other problems will arise? Your 1950 truck uses mounts that are basically vertical. In 1954, the trucks switched to a 45 degree angled mount, so you'll need to find a 1953 or earlier truck housing, or switch to a 54-up firewall area crossmember with the angled mounts. Jerry

I was hoping I was wrong.I guess the search will be on for a 216 bellhousing. Some other Bolters may be able to help or offer tips on a source near you. If you can, let us know whereabouts in WV you might be as it could help in locating something closer to you.

If one of those doesn't fit your need, post an ad in the Truck Parts Wanted. In the meantime, when I get a chance I will see what may be out there in your neck of the woods and will let you know if I find anything.
