I just bought a 1941 Chevrolet long bed pickup. Pretty positive it's an original truck . I'm puzzled because it had 6 lug axles. Weren't longbed trucks rated at 3/4 ton amd hag 8 lug axles ? I can supply Vin # if that helps with ID. Thank you Think i may have just figured it out…i just love this forum! vin # is AL and that a3/4 ton with 11” brakes. Are those the same as 1/2 brakes??

oldblue48, If you haven't checked it out already, read through this 1941 Chevrolet Truck resource document on the GM details of your new truck. AL is listed as a 3/4 ton Light Duty truck as seen in the screenshot clipped from the document. According to the 2nd screenshot, the 3/4 Ton share virtually identical brake details as the 1/2 Ton. Others will surely come along and confirm the 6 lug wheels where also used on the 3/4 Ton.
