A squeal is just a lack of lubrication. Take it out, remove the vacuum advance, and soak the whole distributor in a container of solvent like mineral spirits or Diesel fuel for a few hours, and give it a good inspection. The only reason to replace it would be severe damage or extreme wear.

Believe it or not, it could be your points squealing. I had never heard of such a thing, let alone encountered it but someone on this forum posted about it a year or so ago. He sent me the AV file to prove it.
After making sure your dizzy is lubed, etc, if it's still squeaking, change your points and see what happens.
I don't know if I still have the file otherwise I'd post a link for you to compare noises.

A little bit of grease there can't hurt.

Running a lot of grease through the cup on the distributor did not stop it. I don't remember how or why I decided to put a microdot of grease on the distributor cam with a Q-tip, but that stopped the points from squealing.
