Greetings
I am wondering if anyone here has installed or put thought into the use of a clutch fan on a AD truck. The truck in question is a '55 1st series. The issue I foresee is space, but I would wonder if this could be overcome, as I reckon a clutch fan would make for a quieter ride. Thanks

A while back, I briefly looked into this very question. I think it could probably done, but I either got distracted or gave up, before I found the right combination of parts.

Moving the radiator forward would make it easier, I wasn’t interested in doing that.

Believe me, the fan noise is the least of your worries when in it comes to driving an AD truck. Wind noise, valve clatter, creaks, squeaks , and rattles will cover up any noise coming from the fan. Stick with the 4 blade factory fan. If you have cooling issues, look elsewhere because the fan ain't the problem.
