I am still stuck with a radiator issue. For some reason the previous owner put a 1950 GMC rad into my 1950 Chev truck. The way this was done was to cut out the rad support at the bottom (first picture) . I also suspect the top brace was cut picture two. My question do I put it back in the way it came out picture 3 or if I were to get a GMC 1950 Rad support bracket and put it in would my fenders and everything else still line up.

I'd get a Chevy radiator and a Chevy support bracket and sell the GMC radiator to the lady on this forum that's looking for one.

I would take a close look at the differences in the rad support brackets, especially if your truck and the truck the rad was from are from Canadian trucks as the Canadian gmc trucks had the same engines not like the USA trucks.

I strongly second that suggestion
Just make it original
Least problems
The rad support is different for gm to Chevy even in a Canadian truck where they both use the Chevy engine
Reduce future confusion
Track down oem parts and fix it right

Thanks for all the reponses. I will infact try to sell my 1950 recored gmc rad and get the correct 1950 rad and support bracket. Let the hunt begin.
