I have my grandfathers Sears Allstate 6V battery charger. The model number is 608.91. The serial number is 052. Still works. Would any of you folks know what year it was manufactured?

I googled and they just walked around the year of manufacture, they just wanted to sell it.

Found this on Vintagemachinery.org

Shows the manufacturer of your 608.91 battery charger as being manufactured by Associated Equipment.
Prefix - Manufacturer
608 - Associated Equipment (older Sears battery chargers)

Unfortunately it doesn't say how old it might be. Apparently Associated Equipment is still in business and selling battery chargers. You might give them a shout and see what they can tell you. Link

I'll move this thread to the Tool Chest so it won't go away in 30 days. smile

If you're smart enough to take it apart, you darn well better be smart enough to put it back together.
