I saw a whisp of smoke coming from my "BUSS FLASHER 12v No. 550 12v" and it has a burnt smell. Did I overload the switch or was it just time to replace it? Do I need a different model switch that can handle the extra lights. The lights are from a junked trailer going to scrap. I would be surprised if you added enough lights to total 8 or 10 amps but at the same time I can't say for certain. What is more likely is you may have a short somewhere. A dead short can kill a flasher right quick. Did you do some extra wiring to add those lights?

Something isn't right with the taillights. one light goes out went brake is pressed. I'll have to look into it another day and find out what happened. Fortunately it is a pretty simple circuit so finding it shouldn't be too bad.
