It will be pulling a '52 1/2 ton panel truck. I will occationally need to pull a 4500 lb boat up a boat ramp and home about a mile away, so I would install a type 3 hitch to the frame.
Also, I just figured out that my new toy has folding "bucket seats" up front (one covered in leather in excellent condition; the other in fabric that is totally shot). Were these seats typical for this vehicle? It also has an original wooden bed (with the steel runners like the pu)in back that I've been told is rather rare. I always towed my 4500LB boat with my Fjord inline 300.
I think the bed is stock in those, but your truck is pretty rare. I would keep the engine if it's running good.
