I really don't know if you asked a question. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 1,602 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 1,602 | Try NAPA auto parts for the brakes and I think the tires/wheels are supposed to be 20's. Welcome! | | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 33 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 33 | Jim Carter has lots of parts and info for the areas of your Big Bolt that are common to the lighter duty trucks (more parts are common than you might think). For the other stuff, I would try NAPA or a local AC Delco shop. There's a small Delco parts shop near me that has been a real lifesaver for my COE project.
Two quick tips: 1) If you have a question, try to make it short and sweet. Sometimes it's better to put your question on a new line so that it will catch your eye as you scan down the page.
2) Use the Search feature in order to find all the good stuff that's been said before. Lots and lots of great stuff to be found here.
Good luck with your truck, Fil! Be sure to check back often for replies. I'm sure the other 'Bolters will get you pointed in the right direction in no time!
People keep asking what I want to do when I grow up. I don't understand the question.

It has a picture of a Panda with a handgun on the cover. Good for a laugh or two. 1951 3800 Be the change you want to see. -hotshoe

You have every reason to be proud and happy to have your stovebolt home. You received a couple of good bits of information here; and the reference to searching for more information around the Stovebolt Page is right on target.
Thanks for the use of your free punctuation, 53moneypit. I always appreciate everyone's participation and help here.
Cletis, I know that a rise in inflection at the end of a sentence signifies a question in the venue of sound and intonation. Does the absence of a question mark make the sentence anything but a statement. On the contrary, does the presence of a question mark make the sentence a question? Then, word order, perhaps is the culprit!
In any event, Fil, keep asking our experts your questions. They may seem fussy about details, but they love to get their fingernails dirty on old stovebolt grease.
Drivin' down a 2 lane country road in a stovebolt.....cowboy, it don't get no better than this!
