I had a look at your truck and think it would look beautiful with a chrome bumper, grille, and light frames. To get an idea of what it would look like, Just think of the custom GMC 1/2 tons from that era, they looked great. Just my $ .02. Nice work.

Did you use original bezels and have them chromed, or aftermarket. I am faced with replacing my pitted chrome bezels and I have some painted units that I can have plated, but if the aftermarket units are high quality that would probably be less expensive in the long run.

Bob I used aftermarket from LMC seem to be very good quality but have to see how the chrome stands up to the weather. At $79.95 a set I think it's cheaper than having a set chromed.

Finally installed my chrome grill in my 56 6500 and plan to send some updates to the gallery. It looks awesome. I would like to do the bumper but don't want to mortgage my house.

Right-on I gotta see it you have some great looking trucks and have been wanting to chrome my grill also. Some thing that I did do that would add some nice accent to a chrome big bolt grill is put some 1/4" chrome molding (the plastic stuff with double back tape) on the 1/4" lip around the grill opening, cheap and looks good. I'll have to get some pictures posted of this it really added to the truck even with a painted grill.

It looks great. They always looked good painted. Someday I would like to find a true dump truck like yours in a 55 56 or 57. I brought this truck home the other day but i don't have much interest in it.

I have an old buddy that wants to tinker on it. He says he wants to haul some gravel so he's motivated to get it going. I have to hunt around and find a title for it also. I just don;t know what we'll do with it yet.
