My chev rad part number 3122375 will R-214 A 49 H

Problem is it does not properly fit my chev rad support.with cutting out the x braces and cutting off the lower rad support cross member I was able to get it in. But I am wondering if I have a gmc rad or a different year?

The third picture is a GMC radiator. Cap is on a 90 degree filler tube. Chevies I've seen had the filler on top of the upper tank.

'57 GMC 102, Original 347 V8, HydraMatic, 3.08 rear gear, added A/C, disk front brakes, HEI, AFB carb, '98 Honda Black Currant paint. T-boned and totaled 10/12
'52 GMC 152 Stake Bed, Original 228, SM420, added A/C, HEI, disk front brakes, '67 Chev 3.55 rear gear. Gets used as a real truck.

Thanks Bill . That would explain why all my problems. But given how much I spent on the re-core I will have to put it back in the way I took it out(that’s the third picture) There might be a way for me to re-enforce the bottom cross member that I cut out
