I’m in the process if replacing my front cab body to frame mounts and am unsure of how the assembly goes together. I have the Assembly Manual but it lists only part numbers and no description of what it is (eg. rubber pad). When I disassembled my mount, it had a strange piece if what appeared like stacked canvas between the cab and frame then below the frame mount a piece of rubber, square washer, lock washer then nut.

I purchased a kit from Classic Parts and it contained the bolt, nut, lock washer square washer and square 1/4” rubber washer. How is it assembled?

The FAM calls for two flavors of shims above the frame, then a shim and washer below the frame hole. I think it's important to have some flexibility both above and below the frame. The split lockwasher might loosen over time with the two flexible shims sandwiching the frame mount. I would think that a self-locking nut would be better. Some of the guys have recommended tire sidewall or conveyor belt material for the flexible shims.

I've actually just been thinking about that cab mount and was wondering about drilling the frame hole larger and use a stepped flexible washer or a spacer around the bolt so it could be tightened completely. or Maybe a polyurethane bushing to fill the space between the hole and the bolt. My frame shows signs of the bolts rubbing the holes oblong. That would likely add to the cacophony of squeaks going down the road.

Sorry I can't help more. There are likely additional shims needed between the body and frame to put the body at the correct height above the frame.

GM Parts WiKi shows part #3701322 as a 1/4” rubber shim which is located below the frame mount, as well as part #3701323 which I assume is the square washer. I also assume part #3685418, located between the frame mount and the cab, is the shims used to adjust the frame to cab clearance. So what is part #3806863 and what is is made of? Couldn’t find it in GM Parts WiKi.
