Bought this 63 short bed about 5 years ago. Many upgrades completed since I purchased it and it drives great. Recently added PS.
Time for a new bed. Bought it with diamond plate steel welded in the bed with original wood bed beneath. Pulled up the steel plate last night. Oak wood kit and new stainless strips already purchased. Gotta do a few repairs first.

Yes, somebody "fixed" our bed with checker plate too. Big PITA to repair, but it looks good now.

1962 C10 with a 235 6cyl -- all of the drive train seems to be original.
Some of this story is in the Side Lot
Some people like a new truck. I liked the old ones.

Rust repair begins soon. Bed walls will stay patina.
