We thought we had a head gasket problem but a compression test showed 70+psi in all 12 cyl. Engine had been started a couple of times and was running rough. We started to take it out for a drive it started out rough then seemed to get more power but started belching gray/white smoke. There is a little water in the oil now. Does anyone think it can still be a head gasket problem if my compression is good?

Sounds like a head gasket to me. Could also be a cracked head/block. We will hope for a head gasket. Since you have the new head gaskets on the way go ahead and take the head off and see what you have going on.

Did you check both the head and block for cracks and flatness before reassembly?
