First of all, a big shout out to my fellow veterans for this Veterans' Day 2023!
On this day, my Marine Corps motto of Semper Fidelis applies to all -- Always Faithful! You/We answered the call, stood the watch and, in some cases, sacrificed to ensure that the dream and ideal of Freedom endures.
We have many on Stovebolt, and representing *many* flags, not just the United States. We salute you all who have stood the ramparts of Freedom worldwide, shoulder to shoulder, to hold back the forces of darkness and evil.

Today, Peggy and I had a very special visit here at Stovebolt HQ ... Max. Max started out his life as a U.S. Military working Dog. He went to Afghanistan. In subsequent action there found himself a captive of the Taliban who abused him severely. He was rescued and returned to the US in a seriously abused state and near death. He was adopted by a Beirut Brother of mine and nursed back to health as you can see in the picture.
It was a joyous afternoon at Stovebolt HQ.
Not all veterans walk on only two legs ...

Stovebolters, A big shout out to all who have served our beloved country as either a former or current member of the Armed Forces. I honor you as a "Veteran" as we celebrate tomorrow's holiday. I especially honor my son Matthew, who serves in one of the USMC's attack helicopter squadrons as a maintenance tech leader. The local VA hospital celebrated last weekend. I only learned about it because my brother-in-law was spiffing up his Corvette when I stopped by his house. BTW we both are veterans.

Just accept it gracefully. There would have been more who gave it all if you hadn’t served. They have Memorial Day as well. Never forget the fallen.

HEAR! HEAR! Gdads51!!!! I missed my family ALOT because of Mother Nature or some jerk wanted something that didn't belong to him or wanted more money. Usually around Christmas time.

bjstrudy ... Milton??? Miss Peggy's and my first place to live together after we were married was in Milton! We loved Santa Rosa County and were blessed to have lived there for 2 years while I was scaring myself (and others) in the mighty T-34C.

We did this last year when we weren't in as good of shape. This year, life got in the way of our training, but we completed it in honor of Chad Wilkinson, and did higher step-ups and more weight.
