On the accelerator pump shaft, on top of the metering rod bracket, should there be one or two springs?

Both the YFs I have, have two springs (inner/outer) but, I see some exploded views that only show one.

Also, some parts guys ( Mikes) only list one. Was there a design change?

How much if at all does it matter?

On the 2100S sheet I have from November 1953, the parts list shows part 61-431 Upper Pump Spring (outer) and 61-432 Upper Pump Spring (inner), in addition to 61-510 Pump Diaphragm Spring, which should be the big lower spring. This is the only 2100S sheet I have, so I can't speak on design changes/updates.

Maybe Carbking will chime in at some point with an expert opinion.

There is a 1957 2100s document I got about 7 years ago...can't find it right now. It was an update to the 1953 document and I can't offhand remember but I suspect it may show any revision. Will keep looking. In the meantime, here is an image of the upper springs I removed from one to help me remember...2 springs. Carbking will know.
