I'm putting together my 1949 Chevy 3/4 and was wondering if the radiator support is correct for this truck. I've been looking for any truck that uses the same base and have yet to find it. Though it mounts to the bottom cross support it seems to look odd. I also included a picture of the supposed support that doesn't seem to fit right. Just not sure if it's due to it being 3/4 and not a 1/2 ton.

If you have access to the Factory Assembly Manual, look at Sect 11, Sheet 2.12. Your radiator looks like the illustration for the Radiator support for Models 3800-4000-5000-6000.
The mounting hardware you show is not for the radiator you have. Those two holes in the center of your crossmember should line up with the two holes in the center of the radiator support you have. You can purchase the correct support cushion from about any of the usual sources - Classic parts part number 78-621 , bolt kit 78-671
or you could make your own cushion using 1/4 thick hard rubber from a semi mud flap or run down to your local hardware store and see if they have the material. You could pick up the bolts/washers/ nuts as well. I cannot remember if they are 7/16 or 3/8.
When it comes time to align your front clip ( after installing Hood ) you'll likely have to make some shims to get the radiator support height where it will need to be to bring the fenders up to the hood.
