Hope you are all good! Can you check the picture and let me know is my heat riser closed or open? Also when it does open will it rotate to the right or to the left? Thanks.
Is it stuck in that position? If so, it will run really lousy at startup.
I originally thought that it wouldn’t make that much difference until I replaced mine. It made a huge difference. Although it may seem like an archaic/cheesy design….it works.
So, when looking from the front it will rotate left toward the block if open. It is stuck and I don’t want to “persuade” it in the wrong direction. I’ve been using PB and tapping left and right without luck yet.
It starts and idles fine but if it would open when warm I’d expect it to run much better on the road.
