Stick a piece of round stock through the hole in the bell housing and into the pilot bushing. If you happen to fumble the flywheel, it will only be able to drop a couple of inches. Jerry

Good idea Jerry. It worked like a charm. Used the rubber mallet and it came off no problem.
It’s resting on the wood dowel with the floor jack holding it in place. It was to hot out to continue so I’ll wait until after supper when it cools off and get it on the ground.
If I do it will go to the machine shop tomorrow.
