1939 Chevy truck headlights had the reflector and bulbs and 1940 had sealed beam. Did the 1939 trucks at the end of the 39 run use sealed beams?

Not what you are really asking about, but I used the mounting plates from a '70s or '80s GM pickup when I converted my '37 headlights. The original chrome trim was messed up from age, so these are Harley Davidson aftermarket pieces for early motor cycles, not sure what years, maybe '40 on up. The lamps are Halogen with replaceable bulbs. The newer mounting plate was tack welded to the buckets, the rest Is stock GM parts.

I did what Joe H. did, except I used junk yard backers.. and installed sealed beam bulbs (39 chevy pickup).

Another quality post.
