Now that i have replaced it, it acts like its starving for fuel on the initial startup and stalls a couple times, Never had a problem until this, and I got it from a reputable parts supplier many know. Many on here have commented that their "new" pump did not work well, worked for only a short time, or did not work at all. Beyond that can you tell us what engine you have and also what part number / model number fuel pump you installed? Pictures are really helpfull. There has been some discussions that "new" fuel pumps have an issue with the lever arm operating distance and that may be an issue with providing the volume required. Let know more about what you are working with.

I don't know if those pumps will be any more reliable than the ones we're having so many problems with but they're certainly more available. and possibly less expensive.

I did look pretty close at it before I installed it, and it looked the same. I never had a issue until now, so yes, I tend to believe it's something with the pump. Maybe I need to put the old one back on? I when to two auto parts stores and they both handed me a fuel pump for a small block V8 and assured me it would fit. And of course according to the computers it would. Finally found a rebuilt NOS one on Ebay. No one makes new ones any more. | | |
