Sad that this forum censors pleasant conversation, locks topics that could be useful to future users, and deletes entire threads that contain nothing offensive or harmful. But don't sensor name calling & outright falsehoods from the old guard. I won't be giving the site another click (like a lot of people judging by the lack of traffic here). Too bad, could be a very popular and useful site if the control & moderation was more appropriate and unbiased. Good luck to the friends I made on here, you know how to contact me! { not expecting this post to be up for very long smile }

Check out the posts that have been made by the OP in the past month, Rich- - - -they're very "educational"!

Um, for what its worth ...

6,553,735 "hits" for June (total number of files requested from the server -- includes images)

Over 6 Million in July so far

410,949 "visits" (approximate number of actual individual visitors)

3,719,178 page views (number of web pages viewed by those visitors)

In this forum ("Big Bolts") alone for June there were 2,351 page views.

I'll leave it for y'all to judge whether or not that represents a "lack of traffic."

As for anything else, Stovebolt continues to be what we've tried to make it for 27 years now -- a family-friendly place to share useful and *safe* information for finding, fixing and driving old GM trucks.

Peggy, the volunteer staff (as opposed to the "paid staff" ...) and I thank all of you for your participation and support in making, and keeping, this site what it is.

John

I have no intention of taking this thread down. smile Heck, I'm not even going to lock it. No flaming the OP, though ... wink Make fun of me all you want, call me a pompous overblown narcissistic nincompoop with delusions of adequacy (to which I readily admit) but leave the OP alone -- he's made his point and gone.

He'll be back. They ALWAYS come back ... wink

A couple of words of advice to the OP, though...

1. Don't pick a fight with the witch doctor
2. Don't argue with anyone who buys ink by the barrel (Old journalism saying)

I had read those before, and I know where you're coming from. I was more taken aback by the comments about censorship and the deletion of threads, low traffic, etc. I know of only one thread recently that's been deleted, and not sure where the censorship stuff was coming from.
No flaming intended here. I wish the OP well, and hope he reconsiders his decision.

As is usual, who is the OP?????? I have been on here for 22 years And yes I have been sensored and at times wondered what I said reached the level of deletion, but I am still here because I can not find a more helpful better site. Rock on!
