Can the "7" be a 2 ?

What info did you send to the DMV for them to process your new title...was the info you sent in wrong or did they type it wrong? So I will just go head and try to register it in my name and see if my dmv excepts it. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 134 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 134 | I believe this is the case. I would recommend doing this and just not say anything about it. Telling them that you think there was a mistake will just invite further scrutiny that you likely don't want. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2021 Posts: 6,907 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2021 Posts: 6,907 | I agree with Fibonachi. When I went to register my Cadillac after purchase and asked about correcting the mistake on the title, the lady at the DDS counter warned me against doing it. It's a can of worms you generally don't want to open

The missing ID plate could become an issue during your re-title process. Regardless of any other folks experiences given, the only entity you must rely on for titling your truck is your own state DMV. Your state laws and regulations are the only ones that directly apply, and that you must follow to satisfy the titling requirement. You should also be able to go online and read up on your DMV's requirements and rules that apply to title transfers and correcting title errors if such exist. Good luck and let us know how your title situation gets worked out. Dan
