While I wait on parts for my gas gauge I have another thing to check on.
I have lost use of the front and rear drivers side turn signals and the rear drivers side stop lamp. You can barely see them even at night. The front is an aftermarket bulb signal and the rear is an LED. They were working before the truck sat for years. The harness, lights, turn signal and stop lamp were installed 15+ years ago.
Wondering if the original headlight switch is bad? It was always kinda temperamental as you had to adjust the dimmer to get dash lights to come on sometimes. Anyway, can you point me in the right direction to check things? Since returning, I have really enjoyed the new tech tips that includes pictures in the different forums. Thanks!

Not sure what exactly you have for rear fixtures, but the original type are grounded through the housing, and then what ever the housing is mounted to. Simply unbolting things and scrubbing to bare metal might make it all fine.
I got sick of chasing ground issues and added some of my own. Put a self tapper in the bracket between the stop and tail bulb that holds down a dedicated ground wire that runs to the frame. Also added a wire from the frame to the bumper (my bumper is a farmer-made thing that also supports the lights.
You have a 12v test light? Pretty easy to confirm or debunk the bad ground theory with one. Feed it with 12v, start poking around on the path that ~should- be grounding your lamp housings.

Amazing what some sandpaper and a new bulb will do. DOHH😆 I always start thinking worse case scenario when stuff happens. Even though the ground was secure I scuffed up the paint and retightened and VIOLA. Decided to open up the front turn signal and the bulb was about to go out. Replaced that and good to go. Next up is my speedometer cable that decided not to work correctly after replacing the needle, bezel, gaskets and glass but that is for another forum. Thanks!
