Came across this when cleaning out Tech Tip stuff. It was nice to "get" something from Bill "squeeze" .... HERE IS the post in the Passing Lane.

Anyway, here's what he sent us. (If I need to change the title to have it make more sense, just flag this post and I'll get to it.)

According to the Old Car Manual Project 1928 Resto pack, the 1/2T was under a National name, which was the car chassis, and the "heavier truck" was the Capital Utility Truck, rated as a 1T on an actual truck chassis - in later years with a wider range of GVW's, the 1T is considered with the "light trucks", but there only being the 2 sizes pre-29, and the 1/2T being car chassis based, the 1T really would be the 'heavy weight' of the era, and really is the only true "truck"

later,
Bill
