DS | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 184 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 184 | I was told by another bolter that the resto packs don't have truck specific information as I was worried I couldn't get one since my VIN is missing the production number. I was a little disapointed myself since I was hoping to find a way to track down the production number.
Apparently that information does not exist from what I hear.
However, like you said, the resto-pack has a wealth of useful knowledge for someone going for the stock look! | | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 85 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 85 | 39 AZ 3/4 Ton I my case the vin tag says body number 360 wich means 360th of 980 units built, my model of truck is a chev 1500 body style 1543 which is U.S. Chev model 6403 2 ton (1-1/2 ton special)and at least i know the engine is the original as well. Mine was one of about 10000 made and the VIN plate is a replacement. How that got titled, I'll never know! But I did find out that it was accurate as to the plant, series of truck and month of manufacture.
DS - what kind of truck is it? | | | | Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 454 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 454 | The resto packs for Canadian trucks are different from the US resto packs. My understanding is that the Canadian resto packs do contain some individual truck info. The US packs do not.
