I'm looking for some advice on how to pull a stuck rear wheel drum on my 47 (second series) 3800 one ton. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Hal

The drum is stuck to the brake shoe, right? I've used heat from a propane torch on the drum to expand it away from the shoe. Make sure there's nothing flammable around.

Can you take a photo of the hub?

Have you made sure the parking brake is not engaged?

Were you able to adjust the brake shoes away from the hub ID ? See attached document , Adjustment - Rear 1, 1/1/2 and 2 Ton

You did removed the two retaining screws that retain the hub to the spindle?

Does the hub turn freely , can you spin the wheel?

Thanks Wally, Yes I believe that's the case. The truck has been setting in a garage on jack stands for almost 20 years. There should be no rust involved. The drum must be just stuck to the shoes. Heating the drum makes sense. I'll get my torch out and slowly give the drum the heat treatment and see what happens. Thanks for the quick response and advice.

Love your State,
Hal
