This is good. I got my 40' half ton ALL finished. Has a 261 and runs great. But I can't find where the serial # plate goes !! It was in the engine well but I can find NO holes to match it. HELP PLEASE ! Thanks tonnes. jim

The cab on your 40 should be almost identical to my 46. Go to the link on below, look for the photo frt rht 02 04. You should be able to see where the plate mounts on the right side of the cab. There are two sets of holes...one high, one low. Mine are mounted in the low set.

Unbievable. I post a question 'n an hour later 46'inprogress sends me the answer with PICTURES ! I like pictures ! This website's incredible. 46inprogress, the plate IS ON my truck. I took it off 7 years ago ,put the screws back in the holes. Today, I was looking for holes to RIVET. Truck's done. Will try 'n figure out how to post pictures. THANKS 46inprogress !Have a great day. jim
