Hope this is an appropriate area to ask.
Cannot find a tag on carb I pulled off of a 58 235
Looks as though someone etched what appears to be 413S.
Does 413S look accurate to you guys from the description and photos?

All indications are that the etched # is accurate.
It's so faded I didn't know whether or not to trust what I was seeing/reading.

Thanks

The 413s and 414s have oddball accelerator pumps and are very expensive to rebuild. I was down a wa-1 rabbit hole recently and learned this from Carbking.

As mentioned by JW51, the accelerator pumps in these carbs are unique; and have to be made by hand.

Since the 413s and 414s were aftermarket replacement carbs, there is little demand for parts; thus no economically feasible excuse to mass-reproduce the accelerator pumps.

Hand-made parts are EXPENSIVE!

And the carburetor certainly appears to be a 413s.

Good carburetion is fuelish hot air
The most expensive carburetor is the wrong one you attempt to modify.
