I’ve got a new one but have nothing to go by to install it correctly. Would very much appreciate any advice, video or diagram of one . Looks plenty simple but just can’t seem to get it right. Thanks!

Originally the pin holding the safety catch went thru two tabs bent downward on the hood latch panel, but the repop ones are bolt-on, complete with spring. You have to remove the bent tabs to install them. Sample repop hood safety catch[on edit] I see I'm literally minutes too late.  Glad you got it fixed up.

I got a 1/4 inch rivet drilled for acotter pin and washer now works fine,good fit can still get it apart. The 2 spring tails go toward the radiator. | | |
